DriveCleaner is a rogue application, which displays a fake reports of security and privacy risks on a computer. DriveCleaner prompts the user to purchase a registered version of the software in order to remove the reported risks.

If your computer is infected by DriveCleaner and hijacked by the unfamiliar webpage then your computer in trouble because it does transfer back and forth information from the infected computer which makes it a potential for application/data theft.

    "Trojan-Spy.win32@mx",
    "Virus Alert",
    "Security Alert" or
    "Spyware.Cyberlog-X"     infections..
     
  • Hijacked homepage to unfamiliar webpage.
     
  • Flashing icons appear in the system tray.
     
  • Automatic installation of Rogue/Fake antispyware applications such as, Malware Wipe, SpyHeal, Pest Wipe, PestTrap, BraveSentry Virus Burst, Virus burster, WinAntiSpyware, Virus Blast, SpywareStrike, SpyAxe, SpyTrooper, Adware Punisher, Spy iBlock and SpyGuard.

Unregister DriveCleaner DLL file

Remove/Modify DriveCleaner Registry Entries

Click Start > Run.
Type regedit
Then click OK

Navigate to the subkey:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

In the right pane, delete the value:

"DriveCleaner 2006 Free" = ""C:\Program Files\DriveCleaner 2006 Free\UDC2006.exe" /min"

Search and delete these DriveCleaner Related Files
