ProtectionBar is a dangerous hacker toolbar and it has ability to send your all the search history to hackers. It comes with the Trojan.Zlob application and ProtectionBar usually installed itself without you permission, through trojans and virus.

If your computer is infected by ProtectionBar and hijacked by the unfamiliar webpage then your computer in trouble because it does transfer back and forth information from the infected computer which makes it a potential for application/data theft.

  • Hijacked homepage to unfamiliar webpage.
     
  • Flashing icons appear in the system tray.
     
  • Automatic installation of Rogue/Fake antispyware applications such as, Malware Wipe, SpyHeal, Pest Wipe, PestTrap, BraveSentry Virus Burst, Virus burster, WinAntiSpyware, Virus Blast, SpywareStrike, SpyAxe, SpyTrooper, Adware Punisher, Spy iBlock and SpyGuard.

Download Automatic Removal tool of ProtectionBar

Kill ProtectionBar Running Process.

  

pmmon .exe, or pmsngr.exe

Unregister ProtectionBar DLL file

msvcr71.dll,
higehsg.dll, 
oksrqqu.dll

Remove/Modify ProtectionBar Registry Entries

Note - We strongly recommends that you back up the registry before making any changes to it. Incorrect changes to the registry can result in permanent data loss or corrupted files.


Click Start > Run.
Type regedit
Then click OK
